Dwaing Exhibition

On 1st and 2nd September, 2016, we have organized Drawing Exhibition in our department.

Many Students are there in our department who have a special ability of drawing, paintings and sketches. Their ability is represented in the exhibition nicely.

Here are all the pictures as it is. With numbers given to them.

So many pictures are there which have attracted everyone. We have put the exhibition open for all. Many visitors came and visited the exhibition. And had given their valuable feedbacks. 

We have arranged to give two awards to the students: 1. Best Drawing & 2. Best Interpretor.
For this we have made two forms to fill by the visitors who come to see the exhibition. They have to vote each drawings and have to give numbers out of 10.
  Tarun Kotharee a very famous painter in Bhavnagar came to open this exhibition and well known Gujrati poet Vinodbhai Joshi also joined us.

After rating we got a result. And we have announced it on 6th September. Here is the chart of ratings.

The picture that got first prize was the picture of Ajit Kaliya. This is the picture and here is the artist.

The Best Interpreter's Award was given to Bhumi Dangi. Who has very well interpreted the drawing. Here are her words and her photo. 

"સંધ્યા અને ઊષા ના રંગો તો એક જ હોય છે. પણ એવુંય બને કે કોઇ ની ઉષા એ કોઇ ની સંધ્યા હોય. પણ ઍ જે હોય તે - સંધ્યા કે ઉષા, ઍના રંગો નુ ખરું ઠેકાણું/સરનામું કદાચ કોઈ ની આઁખો ના ખુણા જ હોય છે. અને એ રંગો પંખી ની આંખ જ નહી, પણ પાંખ માં પણ જઈ પહોંચે છે. એટલે જ કદાચ કહેવાયું હશે -- Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder." Exhibition was successfully over. We hope that by your support and encouragement we will continue creative activities in our department.

New Committee in our Department

Department of English ,
Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University,
Bhavnagar.

From the year 2016-17 Batch we have started a new committee in our department. Which is "Art & Creativity" Committee.

Art is not what you see, but what you make others to see. - Edgar Degas

Last year the name of the committee was 'Creative Writing Committee'. Which was having limitations of writing creativity only.

The intention of changing the name is that the students can get an opportunity to present each and every type of creative art before others.

The greatness of art is not to find which is common but what is unique into the common.

 

 Art is to make ourself aware to which is hidden into us.

So, it is requested to all to look into your own and find out the skill which makes you different than others.
